1 Lay old headliner (1) down on suitable subsurface.
2 Remove IRS installation frame (7) from old headliner (1)
3 Loosen main wiring harness (3) and felt strips (2) from old headliner (1) in cutting area (4, ) and lay down to side.
4 Fabricate template (5), for this purpose saw old headliner (1) in cutting area
5 Lay new headliner (1) down on suitable clean subsurface.
6 Support new headliner (1) in area of cutout for infrared interior monitoring transmitter/receiver with suitable spacers, e.g. foam rubber or styrofoam blocks
Do not use any hard or sharp-edge objects, otherwise the covering of the new headliner (1) can be damaged

This prevents the new headliner (1) from bending when performing the following steps
7 Place cutting template (5) onto new headliner (1) and align.
8 Transfer cutout for IRS installation frame (7) onto new headliner (1).
9 Remove template (5) from new headliner (1)
10 Saw cutout for PTS warning indicator (7) out of new headliner (1).
Use metal saw blade.
Saw out within recorded cutting line, otherwise the cutout for the IRS installation frame (7) is too large.
11 Insert IRS installation frame (7) into new headliner (1).

12 Turn new headliner (1) and bend retaining lugs of IRS installation frame (7) with plastic mallet
Carefully position tool at PTS installation frame (7), otherwise headliner (1) can be soiled or damaged.
