Remove/install

Remove selector lever cover (8)

 Move selector lever to position "D"

Remove bolt (1)

Remove cover caps (4) and unscrew bolts (2)

 Completely move driver's and passenger toward front.

Unclip and remove top cover (5)

5.1

Disengage rear compartment nozzle cover (7) toward rear at top with long wedge (11) and remove toward rear at top$

Remove control and operating unit for rear air conditioning system

Vehicles with code (582) Air conditioning in rear

Disconnect connector of rear compartment nozzle adjustment illumination

Remove rear compartment nozzle (6)

Disconnect connector from stowage compartment illumination.

Disconnect connectors from telephone system.

Only on vehicles with code (316) MB D-net telephone (D2B)
or with code (317) D-net cellular telephone (D2B)

Lift rear center console (3) and move out to dashboard

 Front stowage compartment cover (10) must be closed.

Install in the reverse order
