| Remove/install | ||
1 | Adjust steering column upward. | ||
2 | Move left front seat all the way to the rear. | ||
3 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
4 | Unscrew bolts (2). | ||
5 | Carefully pull trim (1) downward until electric lines are accessible. | Observe guides (arrow B). | |
6 | Remove screw (3) and remove hood lock release (4) from trim (1). | Long wedge | |
7 | Unhook hood cable from the hood lock release (4) and remove hood lock release (4) from vehicle. | ||
8 | Release lock (8) from diagnostics connection (X11/4) and push diagnostics connection (X11/4) through and up. | ||
9 | Release electrical connector from footwell lamp and disconnect. | ||
10 | Release electrical connector of the speaker (6) and disconnect. | ||
11 | Remove electrical wiring harness from trim (1) (arrow C). | ||
12 | Unclip connector coupling (5) from trim (1) (arrows D). | Do not disconnect connector coupling (5). | |
13 | Remove trim (1) from vehicle. | ||
14 | Install in the reverse order. |
