Only remove and install pneumatic springs when they are not under tension and when the components are properly secured.

Remove/install

Open the hardtop pop-out window (1).

 To do this, actuate push button switch (2).

Remove the pneumatic springs (4) from the hardtop pop-out window (1).

 To do so, pry off the respective retainer (3) with a suitable tool.

 Secure the hardtop pop-out window (1) against falling down.

Unscrew nuts (5).

 Nut to bolt, holder for passenger-side pop-out window on hardtop

Remove the hardtop pop-out window (1).

 To do this, remove screws (6).
Helper required.

Install in the reverse order.

Adjust

Adjust the hardtop pop-out window (1).

If required.

 To do this, loosen the nuts (7) until the lock striker (10) can be moved.

 Maintain the dimensions (a, b) between the bracket lock striker (8) and lock (9).

Perform function test of the electric component parts of the hardtop pop-out window (1).
