Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.

When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).

Remove/install

Unclip left and right trim piece (2) from bottom upward and remove

Model 212
with code 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof)

 Installation: Ensure that trim piece (2) is seated correctly in clips (3).

Unclip left and right drip rail (4) from rear toward front and remove

Model 212
with code 413 (Automatic panoramic sliding sunroof)

 Installation: Ensure that drip rail (4) is seated correctly in clips (3).
Ensure that clips (5) are seated correctly on roof paneling.

Remove driver-side wiper arm (6) and passenger-side wiper arm (7)

Remove retaining clips (8) and unclip air/water duct (9)

Place air/water duct (9) with connected lines to side

Disconnect windshield heater electrical connector

Loosen inside rear-view mirror and allow electrical lines to hang down

Install in the reverse order
