Install super-high roof (1) on vehicle, align and mark position.


Dimensions:
a = 3 mm


Distance (b, c) centered between right and left side.

Remove super-high roof (1).

Apply adhesive to gluing flange on vehicle.

Observe dimension of adhesive bead.
Super-high roof (1) front and rear: 12 mm width, height 14 mm
Super-high roof (1) right and left: 15 mm width, height 15 mm

The processing time of the adhesive is approx. 30 to 40 minutes from the time of application.
The curing time of the adhesive is 12 hours at 20 °C and normal air humidity. Low temperatures as well as air humidity increase the curing time.

Moisten adhesive with water (spray bottle).

The fine water mist on the sealing bead accelerates the curing process.

Completely install high roof

Install super-high roof (1).


The super-high roof (1) can only be realigned slightly after installing.

Thoroughly press on super-high roof (1) all the way around.

Fasten super-high foot (1) with textile adhesive tape (7) in area of A-pillars.


The front area of the roof must be flush with the A-pillar and the window frame.

Fasten super-high roof (1) in load compartment with C-clamps (01) to approx. 4 mm of adhesive height.

Remove excessive adhesive on outside and inside.

Glue in plastic corners (2) at front right and left.


Replace plastic corners (2).

Mask off super-high roof (1) and roof frame on sealing gap with masking tape (8) all-round.


Maintain masking overlaps.
Super-high roof (1), right and left: Flush to side wall and 3 to 4 mm (a) to super-high roof edge
Super-high roof (1) front and rear: Flush to side wall and super-high roof (1)


Mask off sealing gap in area of A-pillar, so that a uniformly wide gap is present.

Seal gap.

Remove excessive adhesive with piece of wood (half-round).

Ensure that seam sealing on A-pillars has a U-shape to serve as a water drain trough. Ensure that width of seam is uniform.

Completely remove masking tape.

Spray sealing seam with smoothing agent.

Smooth sealing seam.

Remove adhesive residues from paint surfaces.

Clean surfaces sprayed with smoothing agent.

Remove smoothing agent.
Otherwise the smoothing agent leaves permanent marks on painted surfaces.

Do not damage sealing seam.
