1	Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal on inner A-pillar (1) in crosshatched areas.

 Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Rotary wire brush

2	Remove shavings.

 Commercially available devices/tools
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

3	Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges. onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling .

4	Drill holes for MAG welding in reinforcement (2) (area A).

 Commercially available devices/tools
Hand drill

5	Grind mating surfaces on reinforcement (2) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas and around holes (area A).

 Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Rotary wire brush

6	Remove shavings and drill chips.

 Commercially available devices/tools
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

7	Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges. onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling .
