Sand down to bare metal connection surfaces in the cross-hatched areas on both sides.

Remove shavings.

Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

Drill holes for "MAG" welding on mounting support for engine hood hinge (1) (area A).

Hand drill

Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas and around hole (area A).

 Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

Rotary wire brush

Remove shavings and drill chips.

Wet and dry vacuum cleaner

Apply zinc dust paint to insides of spot weld flanges. onto connecting flanges that are no longer accessible after installing side roof paneling .
