1 Mark help line (3) at a distance of a=45 mm, measure from the bottom edge of the body console (1).
2 Mark help line (4) at a distance of a=53 mm, measure from the bottom edge of the body console (1).
3 Stamp vehicle identification number between the help lines (3 and 4), with the "Mercedes start" punch, beginning at a distance of c=25 mm, measured from the edge (arrow).
The tip of the Mercedes star must point up in the logo.
When stamping the vehicle identification number, counter-hold with a suitable metal block on the rear of the body console (1).
Stamp the Mercedes star at the end of the vehicle identification number.
