 Warning

Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area.

Remove/install

Remove pressure hoses from the pressure lines (11).

Disconnect electrical connector (1).

Expose electrical line (2).

Disconnect electrical connector (3).

Expose electrical line (4).

Remove clamp (5).

 Installation: Replace clamp (5) and seal.

 Clamp, diesel particulate filter to exhaust pipe downstream of exhaust gas turbocharger

Remove NOx sensor upstream of the SCR catalytic converter from diesel particulate filter (6).

Remove clamp (7).

 Installation: Replace clamp (7).

Remove the rear engine support.

 Aid of helper required.

Remove combustion and corrosion residue at connecting points.

Plug openings.

Install in the reverse order.

Read out and delete fault memory.

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check exhaust system in terms of leak tightness.
