Remove

Turn off ignition

Spray with low viscosity oil and let it produces effect on the thread of the tube nut (1)

 Anti-seize lubricant (e.g. WD-40) let it act by about 10 min.

Disconnect the electric connector (5)

Remove the exhaust gas pressure sensor before the diesel oxidation catalytic converter (B37)

Spray with low viscosity oil and let it produces effect on the thread of the tube nut (1)

 Anti-seize lubricant (e.g. WD-40)

Loosen the tube nut (1) and remove the piping (7) on the exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (6)


Loosen the threaded connection by turning it carefully forwards and back. It can not be fixed or get stuck.
Otherwise, the exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (6) can be damaged.

MB multipurpose grease, 400 g

If the tube nut (1) does not loosen due to corrosion.



Transfer the pressure line (7) or the threaded connection of the pressure line (7) of the exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (6).

Next, continue from the work step 12.

Loosen the nut (3) and remove the threaded connection (4)

Loosen the tub nut (2) and remove the pressure line (7)



Install

Install the threaded connection (4) with the nut (3) on the bracket

 Lightly tighten the nut (3).

Apply a thin layer of heat-resistant lubricating paste on the thread of the tub nuts (1, 2)

Position the pressure line (7) with the tube nuts (1, 2) in the exhaust gas aftertreatment unit (6) and in the threaded connection (4)

Lightly tighten the tube nuts (1, 2)

Install the exhaust gas pressure sensor before the diesel oxidation catalytic converter (B37)

Loosen the tube nut (3) and the clamp (2)

Connect the electric connector (5)

Align the exhaust gas pressure sensor before the diesel oxidation catalytic converter (B37) by turning the threaded connection (4) towards the wiring harness


The wiring harness may not be under tension.
Otherwise, functional disorders can occur.

Tighten the tube nut (2)

 Secure the hexagon of the threaded connection (4).
