13	Remove combustion and corrosion residues from separating points.
14.1	Remove left exhaust gas flap actuator motor (M16/53), right exhaust gas flap actuator motor (M16/54).	Engine 157 in model 217, 222 When replacing left,/right rear exhaust system (20, 21).
		 Installation: Replace nuts.
		 For this purpose, unscrew in each case 3 nuts.

14.2	Remove vacuum cell of left exhaust gas flap and right exhaust gas flap.	Engine 278 in model 217, 222 When replacing rear exhaust system (19).
	Check
15	Check elastomer bearings (7) for damage and/or wear.	If problems are determined,
		
		Replace elastomer bearings(7).
		 Installation: Wet new elastomer bearings (7) with lubricant.

16	Check installation position and for unobstructed movement of all component parts of exhaust system.
17	Install in the reverse order.
18	Read out, clear fault memory.
