| Replace self-locking nuts and bolts. Pay attention to correct install position of flanges. | Use emery cloth to clean off combustion and corrosion residues at connection points if necessary | |

| Inspect rubber pads, replace if necessary | ||
1 | Remove right bumper corner | ||
2 | Lower fuel tank | Detach bumber from left side part and unbolt from vehicle. If suitable stowage facility available for bumper, it is not necessary to detach the electrical connections of the rear lamps. | |
3 | Remove exhaust tailpipe (1) | Turn exhaust tailpipe slightly when removing. | |
4 | Remove exhaust muffler (2) | ||
5 | Remove exhaust muffler (3) | ||
6 | Unbolt bracket (4) at frame and exhaust pipe (6) | ||
7 | Unbolt bracket (5) at transmission | ||
8 | Remove exhaust pipe (6) | | |
9 | Install in the reverse order | Install exhaust system free of stress |
