Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Lift vehicle on lifting platform.

Remove bottom engine compartment paneling

Support exhaust system

Detach front exhaust system / catalytic converter at the exhaust manifold

Remove bracket (3) for exhaust system on transmission by removing bolts (4)

 Bring bracket together and fix in place using a cable tie (6).



Detach exhaust rubber mount (2) for exhaust system at left rear muffler (5a) and right rear muffler (5b)

 Installation: Coat exhaust rubber mount (2) with liquid lubricant for easier installation.

Detach exhaust rubber mount bracket for left rear muffler (5a) and right rear muffler (5b)

 Installation: Coat exhaust rubber mount (2) with liquid lubricant for the purpose of easier installation.



Hook exhaust system on rear axle carrier bracket (7)

 Installation: Check the exhaust rubber mount (2) and replace it if required.

Remove complete exhaust system



Install in the reverse order

Check installation position and clearance of exhaust system

 The exhaust system must be mounted free of tension, align exhaust system if required.

 Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
