Remove/install

On model 210.074074/274/, 274 with engine 113.980; note the larger shore hardness of rubber mounts (9/1)!

Disconnect plug connection for left and right O2 sensors upstream of TWC
(G3/3x1, G3/4x1)

Detach front axle torsion bar from longitudinal frame member and swivel torsion bar downwards

Replace bolts.

Unscrew bolts (11/1) at flange connection between front exhaust system / exhaust manifold

If bolts are sluggish or thread is damaged:

Replace rivet nuts in exhaust manifold.

Unscrew nuts (11/2) on bracket

Replace nuts

Unbolt bolt (11/5) for suspension on downstream exhaust system

Unhook rear exhaust system from rubber mount (9/1)

Models 210.265/263/270/282/274

Inspect rubber mount (9/1) for damage, replace if necessary.

Lift out exhaust system complete

Ensure that the heat shield (11/6) is not damaged when removing or installing the support.

Install in the reverse order

Install exhaust system free of stress.
