Remove/install

Lift vehicle with lifting platform.

Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect.

Remove electric line from the bracket of the exhaust gas flap controller (M16/57).

Remove screws/bolts (3).

Remove exhaust gas flap controller (M16/57).

 Installation:
Ensure spring is correctly seated between exhaust gas flap controller (M16/57) and exhaust gas flap.
Incorrect assembly will result in damage to exhaust gas flap controller (M16/57).

 Installation:
Ensure exhaust gas flap controller (M16/57) is correctly seated at exhaust gas flap.
Incorrect assembly will result in damage to exhaust gas flap controller (M16/57).

Install in the reverse order.

Read out and delete fault memory.


