No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove/install

Remove fuel tank.

Remove fuel line (2) from fuel pump (M3) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.

Do not kink, crush, or twist fuel line (2) or route it in tight radii.
The fuel line (2) will otherwise be damaged.

Remove fuel line(3) from fuel pump(M3) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.


Do not kink, crush, or twist fuel line (3) or route it in tight radii.
Otherwise the fuel line (3) can be damaged.

Remove locking ring(4).

 Claw-type wrench

Lift fuel pump (M3) until electrical connector (5) and fuel lines (6) are accessible.

Release and disconnect electrical connector (5) and expose electric line.

Remove fuel lines(6).

 Installation:
Route fuel lines (6) through cutout of baffle plate (7).
Risk otherwise exists that movement of float (8) will be blocked.

Remove fuel pump (M3) and collect escaping fuel with absorbent rags.

 Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Clean contact surfaces of the sealing ring on the fuel tank and on the fuel pump(M3).

Install in the reverse order.

Read out and delete fault memory.
