Lift/jack up vehicle

Remove front wheel

Unscrew nut (1) from ball head (3) and remove shield (2)

 Installation: Replace self-locking nut (1).



Slacken lock nut (4)

 Installation: Only tighten the jam nut (4) after checking and adjusting the toe-in.



Press ball head (3) off pitman arm

 Installation: Clean the taper and contact surfaces of the pitman arm.

 Puller

Unscrew ball head (3) from the tie rod (5)

Install in the reverse order

8

Check and adjust front axle toe
