Remove

Open maintenance flap

Tilt cab

Remove all noise encapsulations (3, 5)

Remove soundproofing below the engine

Remove compressed-air line (6)

Unscrew cap from oil container (4)

7

Remove filter in oil container (4)

Extract steering gear oil from oil container (4)

Detach clamp (10) from holder

Detach oil suction line (7) from oil container (4)

 Collect escaping oil in a suitable container.
Plug openings.

Detach oil pressure line (8) from oil pressure line (9)

 Collect escaping oil in a suitable container.
Plug openings.

Remove power-steering pump (1) together with oil suction line (7) and oil pressure line (8)

Remove seal (11)

Detach oil suction line (7) from power-steering pump (1)

Only if power-steering pump (1) or oil suction line (7) is replaced.

 Plug openings.

Detach oil pressure line (8) from power-steering pump (1)

Only if power-steering pump (1) or oil pressure line (8) is replaced.

Install

Clean sealing surfaces on compressor (2) and power-steering pump (1)

Remove all stop plugs

Attach oil pressure line (8) to power-steering pump (1)

Only if power-steering pump (1) or oil pressure line (8) has been replaced.

Attach oil suction line (7) to power-steering pump (1)

Only if power-steering pump (1) or oil suction line (7) has been replaced.

Attach power-steering pump (1) with new seal (11) to compressor (2)

 If necessary, twist the power-steering pump (1) when positioning it until its spline shaft (1.1) can be slipped into the hub (2.1) of the compressor (2).

Fill power-steering pump (1) with steering gear oil through connection opening of oil suction line (7)


Prefill the power-steering pump (1) with steering gear oil before attaching the oil suction line (7) to the oil container (4).
To prevent any initial damage to the power steering pump (1) at engine start.

Attach oil suction line (7) to oil container (4) using a new screw clamp

Attach clamp (10) to holder

Attach oil pressure line (8) to oil pressure line (9)

Install side noise encapsulations (3, 5)

Insert filter into oil container (4)

Fill up steering gear oil and bleed
