Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure it with the safety strut.

Open maintenance flap

Tilt cab

Remove soundproofing below the engine

Remove oil suction line (3) from power-steering pump (1) fasten at side

 Collect escaping oil in a suitable container.
Seal openings on oil suction line (3) and on power steering pump (1).

Remove oil pressure line (4) from power steering pump (1) and fasten at side

 Collect escaping oil in a suitable container.
Seal openings on oil pressure line (4) and on power steering pump (1).

Remove bolts (2) securing power steering pump (1) to compressor (5)

Remove power steering pump (1) from compressor (5)

Remove gasket



Install

Clean sealing surfaces on compressor (5) and power steering pump (1)

Replace seal

Mount power steering pump (1) on compressor (5)

 If necessary, turn drive shaft of power steering pump (1) until the gearing engages with the gearing in the compressor (5).

Screw in bolts (2) securing power steering pump (1) to compressor (5) uniformly and then tighten

Remove stop plugs and fill power-steering pump (1) with power steering fluid through connection opening for oil suction line (3)


Fill power steering pump (1) up to lower edge of connection opening.
This prevents any initial damage to the power steering pump (1) at engine start.

Fill up steering gear oil and bleed

 Visual inspection.
