Position steering wheel in straight-ahead position

 Warning

Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted

Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.

Tilt cab.

Detach bracket for steering shaft bearing (2) from cab mounting console (3).

Remove bolt (5) of universal joint (4).

Move steering wheel by shifting the steering shaft (1) on the steering gear into the straight-ahead position.

 Do not turn steering shaft (1) any more than one half turn to the left or right.
Otherwise the clock spring contact may be damaged.

Install new bolt (5) with new nut   .

Mount bracket for steering shaft bearing (2) cab mounting console (3)   .

Tilt back cab.
