Detaching
1 Unscrew bolt (arrow) on upper universal joint.
In order to get better access to the bolt (arrow), it is necessary to tilt back the steering column and to adjust the steering wheel downwards.
2 Telescope steering shaft (11) together.

Attaching
3 Move the steering wheel spoke into the horizontal position.
Ensure that the front wheels are in the straight-ahead position.
4 Align the steering shaft (11) so that the marking (arrow) on the spacer ring aligns accurately with the assembly slot in the universal joint.
5 Push the steering shaft (11) into the upper universal joint.
6 Screw on the upper universal joint and steering shaft (11) with bolted connection (B) .
