3 | Unscrew trim ring (1) on electronic ignition switch control unit (N73) | Trim ring to EZS control unit | |

4 | Pull EIS control unit (N73) downwards slightly and disconnect electrical connectors from EIS control unit (N73) | ||
5 | Press lock tabs (3) together, slide cable (2) forwards in direction of arrow and unhook from EIS control unitN73() | Only with transmission 722.6 | |
6 | Remove EZS control unit (N73) | ||
7 | Install in the reverse order | ||
8 | Connect STAR Diagnosis and read out fault memory, delete if necessary and adapt all ignition keys using STAR DIAGNOSIS to the EZS control unit (N73) | Only when replacing EIS control unit (N73). | |
