Deactivate easy entry and exit feature.

with code 275 (Memory package)

Turn rack-and-pinion steering (5) into center position (front wheels in straight-ahead position) and fix steering wheel in place using holding device.


The steering wheel must not be turned when the steering coupling (1) has been removed.
Otherwise the clock spring contact will be destroyed.

Remove center and rear section of engine compartment lining.

Disconnect steering coupling (1) on lock (2) from steering shaft (3).

Separate and connect steering coupling

Turn steering gear to center position

 Installation: Move steering gear to center position and connect steering coupling (1) to steering shaft (3).

 Engine mount wrench set

Remove bolt (4) from steering coupling (1).

 Change position of steering gear until screw (4) can be pull out of steering coupling (1).

Remove steering coupling (1) from rack-and-pinion steering (5).

 Pay attention to installation position.

 Installation: The guide on the dust cap (6) must be seated without tension in the groove of the steering coupling (1) (arrow).
