Check power consumption of Telma retarder

1 Remove cover from retarder relay box (A15).

Installation: Pay attention to the seal in the cover.

2 Clip current clamp with multimeter onto electrical wiring harness to retarder.

3 Press buttons on relays (1, 2, 3, 4) in sequence, and read off and note down measured values shown on multimeter.

The measured values must be within the tolerance.
If one of the measured values is outside the tolerance, the electrical connections should be disconnected from the retarder solenoids and each retarder solenoid must be measured separately.
