Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Remove

Secure vehicle against rolling

Fully drain compressed air system

Switch off ignition

Remove boot (2)

 Mounting wedge

Remove caps (3) in the paneling (1) and remove screws/bolts (4)

Remove cover (1)

7

Remove screw/bolts (5)

Pull parking brake valve (14.01, 14.02, 14.08, 14.09) out of bracket and unscrew screws/bolts (8)

Remove retaining plate (7)

10

Remove parking brake valve (14.01, 14.02, 14.08, 14.09) upward



Install

Install parking brake valve (14.01, 14.02, 14.08, 14.09) from top

Mount retaining plate (7) on parking brake valve (14.01, 14.02, 14.08, 14.09)

 Replace O-rings.

Screw in bolts (8)

Screw in bolts (5)

15

Start engine and completely inflate air brake system with idle speed

Switch off ignition

Check compressed air lines (9) for leaks

Leak detection spray

Install cover (1)

Screw in screws/bolts (4) and install caps (3) in the paneling (1)

Install boot (2)
