Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

AS00.00-Z-0005-01A

1

Start the engine and fill the compressed-air system until the pressure regulator cuts out

2

Turn off engine

3

Unscrew union nut from compressed air line (1)

4

Detach compressed air line (1) from connection of elbow fitting

A pressure drop in the reservoir pressure through the compressed air line (1) will usually be down to a defective return flow valve (2).

If there are problems

Replace the return flow valve (2).

AP42.60-G-4382B

5

Fasten compressed air line (1) to connection of elbow fitting

6

Screw union nut onto compressed air line (1)

7

Operate brake pedal several times in a row to reduce reservoir pressure

If there was a leakage and the return flow valve (2) was replaced.

8

Repeat test procedure

If there was a leakage and the return flow valve (2) was replaced.

Perform operation steps 1 to 6.
