1-Bench accessories
D = Bench supply circuit pressure reducing valve
FN1 = Test circuit pressure regulating valve.
V = Manometer indicating the bench supply pressure.
1 = 3 = Test circuits' manometers indicating pressure with 0,10 bar cuts.
20L = Bench supply circuit air reservoir with capacity for 20 liters.
1 L = Test circuit air reservoir with capacity for 1 liter.
C = 3 = V = Cocks.
(1) = (3) Quick connect fitting.
2 - Visual check
Check the valve for external damage.
3 - Connect the valve onto the bench
Mount the valve onto the bench as per the corresponding diagram and plug:
Quick connect fitting (1) (test bench) onto fitting 1.
Quick connect fitting (3) (test bench) onto fitting 2.
Note:
Valve fitting 1 corresponds to the port before the arrow.

4 - Prepare for test
Using pressure regulating valve D, apply 8 bar to the bench supply circuit. Confirm the pressure on manometer V.
Actuate the valve (FN1) 5 to 10 times for a better seating of components.
5 - Check for tightness
Remove port fitting 2 (after the arrow).
Connect quick connect fitting line 1 of bench to port 2 (after the arrow).
Leave port 1 (before the arrow) free.
Fully actuate valve FN1. Manometer 1 should indicate 8 bar.
Apply neutral soap foam to port 1 and check for leaks
Note:
On Wabco valves, in case of leaks, uninstall it and replace the components. The ones manufactured by Knorr need to be replaced since it's unrepairable.
6 - Perform function check
Air passage:
Connect bench circuit line 1 to port 1 (before the arrow).
Connect bench circuit line 3 to port 2 (after the arrow).
Actuate valve FN1 gradually until it reaches 8 bar on manometer 1. Pressure on manometer 3 should also gradually increase from 0,2 bar to 8 bar.
7 - Remove the valve from the test bench
De-pressurize the valve circuit and detach the test hoses.
Remove the valve from bench and protect ports with suitable plugs.
