1 | Connect vehicle diagnosis system and move parking brake into assembly position. | ||

To do so, follow the procedure in the menu "Electric parking brake (EFB) control unit". | |||
2 | Raise vehicle. | ||
3 | Remove feed-through grommet (5) from safety clip (1). | ||
4 | Release safety clip (1) and slide towards rear brake cable (2). | ||
5 | Unhook adapter (3) of rear brake cable (2) from connection piece (4). | ||
6 | Remove safety clip (1) and feed-through grommet (5) from rear brake cable (2). | ||
7 | Slide new safety clip (1) with feed-through grommet (5) onto adapter (3) (arrow a). | ||
8 | Hook adapter (3) of rear brake cable (2) into connection piece (4). | ||
9 | Slide safety clip (1) over adapter (3) and connection piece (4) and latch into place (arrow b). | ||
10 | Check safety clip (1) is latched correctly into place. | ||
11 | Lower vehicle. | ||
12 | Deactivate assembly position of parking brake using vehicle diagnosis system and disconnect vehicle diagnosis system. | To do so, follow the procedure in the menu "Electric parking brake (EFB) control unit". |
