Loosen adjusting nut (89) on cable slack adjuster

Remove cover below instrument panel

Remove cover (71a) of pedal assembly (71)

Unhook brake cable (85) from tensioning shackle on parking brake pedal (75)



Detach pedal assembly (71)



Detach plug from parking brake indicator switch (S12)

 To do this, raise the pedal assembly (71) slightly.

Unhook release cable (79) from pedal assembly (71)

 On pedal assembly (71) with friction brake: Unhook the release cable (79) from the pedal assembly (71) using the tool (010).



Remove pedal assembly (71)

 Do not loosen torx bolts on the back of the pedal assembly (71). Otherwise the pedal assembly (71) will be irreparably damaged.

Install in the reverse order


