Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Remove rear wheels

Remove rear axle brake disk

Disconnect front brake cable from pulley unit

 Do not detach the rear brake cables.

Remove adjuster (7)

Remove upper (8) retracting spring

 Use screwdriver

 Installation: Use .

Remove expanding springs (2)

 This can be removed easily using a size 11 bit and an extension

Remove lower retracting spring (9)

 Use screwdriver

Remove brake shoes (3)

 Installation: Ensure that the cable lock (4) moves easily.

 Minimum dimension of brake shoes including carrier plate

Install in the reverse order

Adjust parking brake

Build up brake pressure

 Operate brake pedal several times.

Check fluid level in reservoir and correct if necessary


