1 Bench accessories
D = Pressure reduction valve.
FN1 = FN2 = Pressure regulation valves (fine adjustment) with discharge to the atmosphere.
V = Manometer that indicates the bench feed pressure.
1 = 2 = 3 = 4 = Pressure indication manometers with 0.10 bar divisions, capacity up to 16 bar. Indicates the test circuits pressure.
20L = Air reservoir with 20-liter capacity.
1 L = Air reservoir for the bench test circuits (1 liter).
V = C = 3 = 4 = Valves (taps).
(1) = (2) = (3) = (4) = Quick couplings available on the bench.

2 Visual inspection
Check the valve for external damages.

3 Connect the valve to the bench
Assemble the valve on the bench according to the applicable diagram and connect:
Quick coupling (1) (test bench) on connection 11
Quick coupling (2) (test bench) on connection 12
Quick coupling (3) (test bench) on connection 21
Quick coupling (4) (test bench) on connection 23

4 Test for tightness
Activate valves FN1 and FN2 totally until manometers 1 and 3 reach the pressure of 10 bar.
Activate the gear position lever up to the locked position.
Apply the foam of a neutral soap on portal 3 and check for leaks.
Deactivate the lever totally up to the running position.
Apply again the foam of a neutral soap on portal 3 and check for leaks.
Check for leaks during the lever travel around the valve.
Note: If a leak is found, disassemble the valve and replace the damaged components.

5 Test the operation
Activation angles and responses:
Install the lever angle measuring device.
Activate valves FN1 and FN2 totally. With the lever on the running position (0°), manometers 1; 2; 3 and 4 must indicate the same pressure (10 bar).
Activate the gear position lever (0°) up to 10°. The pressure on manometer 4 (circuit 23) shall fall quickly to “zero” bar. The pressure on manometer 3 (circuit 21) shall fall to between 5.5 and 6.2 bar.
Continue to activate the valve until 55° from the initial position (0°). The pressure on manometer 3 (circuit 21) shall be of “zero” bar.
From 55° until the locking position 73°, the pressure on manometers 3 and 4 (circuits 21 and 23) shall remain at “zero” bar.
Note: If necessary, adjust the pressures, turn screw (15) until the desired pressure is reached. Check the pressures again.

6 Pressure adjustment possibility in the range of use as auxiliary brake:
Activate and deactivate the lever in the interval between 12° and 55° in both directions, in a continuous and slow manner. The pressure on manometer 3 (circuit 21) shall decrease or increase gradually and proportionally to the lever angle, without steps larger than 0.2 bar.
Note: To decrease or increase the valve pressure scaling, it is necessary to add or remove shims in the spring set (17).

7 Remove the valve from the test bench
Release the pressure in the circuits using valves FN1; FN2 and taps 3 and 4. Disconnect the test hoses.
Remove the valve from the device and close the portals with appropriate plastic plugs.
