Removing and installing automatic linkage adjuster

Remove/Install

Turn back linkage adjuster (8) by turning adjusting screw (7) to starting position

 Clicking noises are produced when linkage adjuster is turned back.

 Installation: Adjust clearance.

Remove screw (3)

 Installation: Adjust control arm at linkage adjuster (8).

Remove securing ring (6)

Remove shim (5) and indicator disk (4)

 Installation: Push indicator disk (4) onto brake camshaft in such a way that the two notches (arrow) line up with each other.

Remove pin (1).

 Installation: Use new cotter pin (2).

Remove linkage adjuster (8)

 Installation: Check and adjust axial play of brake camshaft.
