Remove brake drum.

Insert adjustment panels (1) between brake shoes and wedge unit (3).

Adjusting plates for adjusting the wedge unit

The angled side of the adjustment panels (1) must point towards the respective brake shoe.

Attach brakepad lathe to wheel hub.

Observe manufacturer's operating instructions for brakepad lathe.

Skim brakepads (2).


Do not undershoot minimum pad thickness of the brakepads (2) which is dependent on the brake drum diameter.
Otherwise, the service brake could have a function failure.

Remove brakepad lathe from wheel hub.

Observe manufacturer's operating instructions for brakepad lathe.

Remove adjustment panels (1) between the brake shoes and the wedge unit (3).

Install brake drum.
