Position brash bushing (7) onto fixed bearing on inside of brake caliper (1).

Route spindle (T13) with washer (1s) from outside through the fixed bearing of the brake caliper (1) and screw on thrust nut (T14) using centering plunger (T16) by hand onto spindle (T13).

 The washer (1s) must be flush fitted to the fixed bearing of the brake caliper (1) and the chamfer of the centering plunger (T16) must be centered in the brass bushing (7).
Otherwise, the brass bushing (7) and the bearing seat may be damaged.

Press in brass bushing (7) by screwing-in the thrust nut (T14) up to end stop in brake caliper (1) (arrow), counterhold spindle (T13) while doing so.

Screw in embossing tool (F) with thrust nut (T14) as far as the end stop.

 The embossing tool (F) is included in the brake case from the Knorr company.

Unscrew thrust nut (T14) by approx. 20 mm (X) again.

Offset embossing tool (F) by 60° and tighten thrust nut (T14) again.

Unscrew thrust nut (T14) by approx. 20 mm (X) again.

Offset embossing tool (F) by 60° and tighten thrust nut (T14) again.

Turn back thrust nut (T14) and remove embossing tool (F).

Check brass bushing (7) for ridging, if necessary remove any ridging using emery cloth.

Apply coating of grease to brass bushing (7).
