Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Remove/install

Remove each front wheel

Remove brake hose (3)

 Removal is necessary so that the brake hose (3) does not twist when the floating brake caliper (31) is installed.

Disconnect electrical connector (1)

Disconnect electrical connection (1) from floating brake caliper (31)

Remove screw/bolts (2)

Remove floating brake caliper (31) from caliper carrier (33)



Check

Check condition of piston, dust caps and brake hose (3) of floating brake caliper (31)

 Bolt, floating brake caliper support to swivel bearing

Depending on findings



Replace floating brake caliper (31) or brake hose (3)

If the floating brake caliper (31) has to be replaced.



Replace carrier for floating brake caliper (33)



Clean

Clean the floating brake caliper (31) and the areas contaminated by brake fluid running out
