Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Do not use test equipment (3) for hydraulic oil systems on systems with brake fluid.
Otherwise, the brake fluid will be mixed with mineral oil, which can cause brake failure.

6

Bleed test equipment (3).

Observe manufacturer's operating instructions.

7

Start engine and run.

8

Depress brake pedal and insert brake pedal jack (4) with adapter between brake pedal and driver's seat.

Cover up brake pedal and driver's seat in brake pedal jack (4) system area.

*BE42.10-P-1001-19A

If the brake pressure loss is too high.

Determine cause and replace defective component parts.

11

Switch off engine and remove brake pedal jack (4) with adapter.

12

Reduce vacuum in brake booster (5) by depressing brake pedal several times.
