Danger!

Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Unscrew lid from brake fluid reservoir

Remove rear wheels

Unscrew bolt (1), fold up top section of brake caliper and remove brake pads (4)

 Installation: Replace bolt (1).



 Installation: Rub the brake pads at the side guide contact surfaces and piston contact surfaces of the carrier plate lightly with brake pad paste.

 Only brake pad kits approved by Mercedes Benz must be installed.

 Brake pads are to be disposed of as special waste. The local authorities can provide information regarding whether disposal is also permitted as industrial waste similar to domestic waste.

Push back piston.

 To prevent damage to the dust boots when installing the brake pads, always check to make sure that the dust boot is folded all the way and not protruding at any point after pushing back the piston.

Install in the reverse order

Build up brake pressure

 Operate brake pedal several times.

Check brake fluid level in reservoir and correct if necessary



Hydraulic brake system - check fluid level, correct if necessary
