Release the combination cylinder

 In case of lack of air in the system, release the parking brake mechanically.

Release the brake shoes by pulling back until the "S" on the camshaft (1) stands on "zero"

 Installation: Set the mechanical adjuster and control the automatic adjuster.

 On vehicles fitted with automatic adjuster, a little effort is required to release the mechanical adjustment screw, upon which a characteristic ratchet noise can be heard.

Mark the brake drum (3) and wheel hub (5) position

 Installation: Assemble the brake drum (3) so that it matches the previously made marking.

Remove the brake drum (3) by pressing the three disassembly screws (4)

 Tighten the disassembly screws (4) diagonally until the brake drum (3) is removed.

Clean the brake drum (3) and the brake pads (2)

Check the brake drum (3) and the brake pads (2) for wear

 The brake drums (3) should be rectified or replaced always in pairs (of same axle and of both sides).
If they are rectified, the same dimension must obligatorily be kept on both.

As required, rectify the brake drums (3) to a greater diameter and if it exceeds the maximum allowed dimension:



Replace the brake drums (3).
