Removing, installing

Remove self-locking bolts (1b) with washers (1c) for propeller shaft (1) from transfer case

Installation: Ensure that the transfer case flange and the front propeller shaft are perfectly aligned.

  Replace self-locking bolts (1b) and washers (1c).

Remove self-locking bolts (1a) for propeller shaft (1) from rear axle center assembly

 Support propeller shaft.

Installation: Ensure that the contact surfaces on the universal joint flange and rear axle flange are clean, and clean if necessary.

 Replace self-locking bolts (1a).

Remove propeller shaft towards the rear



Checking

Check constant velocity joint and universal joints for wear or damage.

If necessary, replace propeller shaft complete.

Install in the reverse order
