1 | Regulate bearing brackets (2) feeler rods (1) at the same length and height |
2 | Position the bearing brackets (2) feeler rods (1) on flat surfaces on both sides of front rims, so that they are below the wheel central point |

3 | Position the projectors (5) on the projectors support (4) of the 1st rear shaft |
4 | Direct the left projector (5) light beam onto the left measurement bearing bracket (2) scale and read the value |
01 division on the scale corresponds to 10 mm |
5 | Direct the right projector (5) light beam onto the right measurement bearing bracket (2) scale and read the value |
6 | Establish the individual convergence value |
The individual convergence value is half the difference between the two measured values |
7 | With the individual convergence value (D) and the respective vehicle wheelbase (R), determine in the table, the rear shaft (S) tilting (in angle minutes). Divide the individual convergence value (D, in mm) by the vehicle wheelbase (R, in mm) |
8 | With the factor (F/R) based on the table, determine the rear shaft (S) tilting |
9 | Record the measured value on the alignment form |
The front shaft tilting should be determined only through a mechanical measurement or through the wheelbase, in case it is ensured that the rear shaft tilting is inside the established values. |
Vehicles with two rear shafts: | |
| |
Carry out the measurement on the 2nd rear shaft similarly to the procedure for the 1st shaft |
