Warning

Risk of injury to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure.Risk of poisoning from swallowing hydraulic fluid.

Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.

Check

1

Secure vehicle on rear axle using two chocks to prevent it from rolling away.

2

Start engine and raise leading axle.

Keep engine running as the leading axle is lowered when the engine is stopped and the ignition switched off, so the system is no longer pressurized.

3

Check high-pressure hoses (2, 3, 4) for leak tightness.

AR35.50-W-0115-01H

Perform a visual check only as to whether oil leaks out from the high-pressure hoses (2, 3, 4).

If the high-pressure hoses (2, 3, 4) are leaky,

replace high-pressure hoses (2, 3, 4).

AR35.50-W-0120H

4

Stop the engine and switch off the ignition.

The leading axle is lowered when the engine is stopped and the ignition switched off.

5

Remove cap from hydraulic unit (5).

6

Check component parts of hydraulic unit (5) for leak tightness.

Perform a visual check only as to whether oil leaks out at the component parts of the hydraulic unit (5).

If the component parts of the hydraulic unit (5) are leaky,

replace hydraulic unit (5).
