Remove/install

Remove bracket for lift bellows on trailing axle.

Remove wheels.

Support vehicle on vehicle frame.

Remove compressed-air lines (10) from brake cylinders.

Remove line distributor with lines and line bracket from axle tube and tie to one side.

 Do not separate lines.

Raise trailing axle far enough until springs are relieved.

Secure trailing axle to prevent it falling down.

Remove trailing arms (7) from link brackets (8) on trailing axle.

Remove spring U-bolts (1) and remove spring seats (2) and link brackets (8).

 Nut, spring U-bolt to rear axle

Lower trailing axle and remove spring supports (4).



Long-life grease (NLGI grade 2)

BB00.40-P-0266-02A

 Installation: Lightly grease mounting holes for center bolts in spring supports (4).
When raising the trailing axle make sure that the center bolts engage in the mounting holes.
