Check/adjust shift collar axial play (interwheel differential lock)

Check

1 Press shift collar (1) by hand up all the way into the gearing of the dog clutch.

2 Measure axial play between the shift fork (3) and the right and left shift collar (1) with feeler gauge (2), keeping the shift collar (1) pressed in while doing so.

Adjust axial play of shift collar (1) if necessary.

Adjust

3 Remove shift piston again and reinstall with corresponding adjusting disk (4).

Downsize axial play: Install thicker adjusting disk.
Enlarge axial play: Install thinner adjusting disk.
