Check friction torque of tapered roller bearing of drive pinion

1 Position socket wrench (1) with torque measuring instrument (2) on collared nut of propshaft flange.

2 Measure friction torque of tapered roller bearing of drive pinion gear shaft

When doing so, first rotate the drive pinion gear shaft by at least three full revolutions and then measure the friction torque while continuing to rotate the shaft.

3 Make note of test value for friction torque.
