Remove

1

Remove brake disk.

Release collar nut (5).

Remove collar nut (5) and take off thrust plate (4).

Screw assembly sleeve onto kingpin (1).

 Assembly sleeve

Remove wheel hub (3) from kingpin (1) over assembly sleeve.



Install

Install ABS pulse ring (2).

Only when replacing wheel hub (3).

Clean machined surface of kingpin (1) thoroughly around entire circumference.

 Using a wire brush and fine emery cloth.

Coat cleaned surface of kingpin (1) around entire circumference with multi-purpose paste.

Push wheel hub (3) over assembly sleeve onto kingpin (1).

Remove assembly sleeve from kingpin (1).

Attach new collar nut (5) with new thrust plate (4).

 Tighten collar nut (5) while constantly turning wheel hub (3) far enough until wheel hub (3) is lying against steering knuckle. Then tighten collar nut (5) to specified tightening torque and do not slacken again.

Secure collar nut (5).
