Remove

Remove brake carrier with brake caliper

Remove rear axle shaft (4)

Unscrew collar nut (3) and remove thrust plate (2)

Screw assembly sleeve onto axle tube

Remove rear axle hub (1)

Remove O-ring (6) from axle tube

Detach brake disk from rear wheel hub (1)

 Only when replacing the rear wheel hub (1) or brake disk.



Install

Mount brake disk with new bolts to rear wheel hub (1)

 Only if the brake disk has been removed.

 Bolt, brake disk to wheel hub

Coat O-ring (6) with multi-purpose paste and assemble on the axle tube until it abuts

 Always install a new O-ring (6) even if the rear wheel hub (1) was installed without O-ring (6).

Coat contact surface of rear wheel hub (1) on the axle tube with multi-purpose paste

Push rear wheel hub (1) over assembly sleeve onto axle tube

Unscrew assembly sleeve from axle tube

Oil the thrust plate (2) and thread on the axle tube and mount the thrust plate (2) on the axle tube

Install new collar nut (3)

 Tighten the collar nut (3) to the specified torque and do not slacken again.
Secure collar nut (3) by driving collar into groove (arrow).

Clean sealing surfaces on rear wheel hub (1) and rear axle shaft (4) and coat with sealing compound

Install rear axle shaft (4)

 Use new bolts (5).

 Bolt, rear axle shaft to wheel hub
