4 | Detach wheel carrier (1) together with brake carrier (2) and protective plate (3) from portal housing (4) | Fix the brake shoes in position by means of adhesive tape. The circlip (7) and washer (8) remain on the brake shaft. | |
Installation: Determine the difference dimension between the wheel brake cylinder bracket (5) and portal housing (4) using a feeler gauge, select the appropriate spacer washers and insert between the wheel brake cylinder bracket (5) and portal housing (4). Remove adjuster screws (6) and screw in bolts of wheel brake cylinder bracket (5). | |||

5 | Detach wheel brake cylinder bracket (5) from portal housing (4) | Pay attention to spacer washers fitted. | |
Installation: Install adjuster screws (6) on the portal housing (4) and mount wheel brake cylinder bracket (5). The wheel brake cylinder bracket (5) can only be fixed in its exact installation position after installing the wheel carrier (1) with the complete brake. | |||

6 | Detach O-ring (9) from wheel carrier (1) | Installation: Replace and grease the O-ring (9). | |
7 | Pull wheel carrier (1) out of brake carrier (2) | Installation: Ensure that the bores are aligned. | |
8 | Detach shield from wheel carrier (1) | Only required if the wheel carrier (1) is replaced. | |
Installation: Press on shield using a suitable mounting device. The upper edge of the shield must be a distance of 4 to 5 mm from the upper edge of the seat on the wheel carrier (1). Moisten the seat surface with sealing compound. | |||
