1 Remove stretch bolt (1) from trailing arm (3).
2 Detach trailing arm (3) from journal.
For the rear axle 746.217 a M241.5 screw is screwed in to release the trailing arm (3).
3 Remove bolts (2) on the trailing arm (3) on the left and right.

4 Remove trailing arm (3).
Installation: In order to avoid the ingress of moisture and the associated corrosion, before installing the trailing arm (3) sealing compound must be applied around the base of the journal.
Apart from this, once the stretch bolt (1) has been tightened, insert sealant between the bearing sleeve and the bolt head (arrows).
5 Install in the reverse order.
