Install

Thoroughly clean the thread of the threaded ring (2) and the axle through-drive cover (1) and coat with sealant

Sealant Loctite 574, 50 ml

Screw threaded ring (2) all the way into axle through-drive cover (1)

Adjust axial play of axle-through drive drive shaft


When adjusting the axial play of the axle through-drive drive shaft, it is essential to ensure that the threaded ring (2) is tightened with the corresponding tightening torque in relation to the special tool used.
Otherwise, if the axial play is adjusted incorrectly, the entire axle through-drive can be destroyed.

  When tightening with the  claw wrench, the lower tightening torque must be used to tighten, as the higher tightening torque is reached at the threaded ring (2) due to the lever action.
 When tightening with a socket wrench directly at the threaded ring (2), the higher tightening torque must be reached.

Secure threaded ring (2)

 When installing the retainer (4), try not to alter the position of the threaded ring (2) if possible.
If the retainer (4) cannot be attached, the threaded ring (2) must be tightened by at most 5° further.
